When the world's largest automobile manufacturer asked OAO Technology Solutions, Inc. (OAOT) to create a mobile application that would globalize and extend a customer-focused warranty management system, our Oracle experts were ready to respond. OAOT has extensive experience solving complex business challenges with Oracle Lite, and our skilled team developed a solution that provides the following benefits:

As a result of this project, OAOT created one of the largest implementations of Oracle Lite by designing and developing an enterprise-wide application to run on their existing end-user computing and infrastructure platform. And not only was it Oracle Lite's largest implementation, it was also the automobile manufacturer's largest and most visible IT project in its history. OAOT streamlined access to the manufacturer's warranty information and helped prevent duplicative claims by implementing a single, consolidated solution to run across Java, J2EE and windows-based platforms. This new capability also assists with targeted recalls, warranty claims and parts returns by using Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) to contact customers individually.

Our solution provides seamless integration with the customer's other enterprise systems, improving end-to-end process integration. The solution can be deployed enterprise-wide across PDA's, laptops, hand-helds and other devices, yet is scalable to other enterprises. By integrating several disparate systems, future upgrades only require program coding for the larger system, allowing for better testing, reduced training and significant cost savings.

Rapid Application Development

Data Synchronization Process

• Uploads updated rows (updates, inserts, deletes) from the client to the mobile server
• Downloads updated rows from the server since the last synchronization
• Applies changes from the mobile server to the enterprise server
• Composes the updated information for the user to download during the next synchronization
• Allows data to be downloaded to the user base upon data sub-setting
• Synchronizes any type of connection
